KIPA Course Q&A

Prerequisites​​

1. Can beginners join, or do I need prior experience in Pilates? / Are there any prerequisites to enroll in the KIPA course?

​There’s no prerequisite of pilates experience needed for the Beginner Course, but ideally with pilates experience/background will enhance your learning experience.

Course Content

1. What does the course include (e.g., Anatomy, Postural Analysis, etc.)?

Our Beginner Course included  

- Anatomy course,  

- Posture analysis course,  

- all equipment course (Mat, Reformer, Chair, Barrel, Cadillac) 

- ⁠Pre-postnatal course

- ⁠Sequence planning course

While the Intermediate Course included

- all equipment course (Mat, Reformer, Chair, Barrel, Cadillac) 

- ⁠Pre-postnatal course

- ⁠Sequence planning course

 

2. ​How long will the course take? What is the course timing?

For weekdays course:

The beginner course is 15 days (3 weeks long), Monday – Friday, 9am – 3pm. The intermediate course is 12days (Roughly 1 and half weeks long), Monday-Friday 9am-3pm.

For weekends course:

The beginner course is 12days (6 weeks long), Saturday & Sunday, 9am – 6pm. The intermediate course is 8 days (4 weeks long), Saturday & Sunday, 9am – 6pm.

3. What materials or manuals are provided with the course?

Total 4 books will be provide for Beginner course, they are Anatomy, Study Materials, Beginner textbook, KIPA pen and notebook.

4. What is a comprehensive course?

Comprehensive course is where you register for the beginner course and intermediate course at the same time, it will be considered a comprehensive course.

 

5. Difference between beginner and intermediate courses?

The beginner instructor course provides a solid foundation. You can learn more deeply about Pilates in intermediate courses. 

 

6. Should I take an intermediate course?

It's flexible🤗 For our package where you sign up both beginner and intermediate course at the same time (comprehensive), you will able to get 10 free private classes at KIPA with the trainers. 

 

While if you sign up for a beginner course you will get 3 free private classes at KIPA with the trainers as well. Please take note that in order to enroll in the intermediate course, you must complete the beginner course first.

7. Am I a certified instructor after completing the Beginner Course?

After completing the course, you will have to take the exam first. If you passed your exam, yes you are certified!

8. As soon as we graduate from the Beginner Instructor Course, are we eligible to teach Pilates?

Can I become a Pilates instructor if I only complete the Beginner Course?

Do we need to complete Intermediate Courses only able to teach as Instructor?

Yes, you can start teaching after getting certified. However, we recommend beginning after completing the Intermediate level. This will allow you to deepen your knowledge of Pilates and better personalize your classes based on your clients' needs. 😊

In the Intermediate Course, you’ll gain a more in-depth understanding of Pilates, helping you tailor your sessions more effectively. 😊 That said, hiring requirements vary from studio to studio, so it's best to check with the specific studio you're interested in.
